The Russia Energy Week was attended by government ministers from Russia, including Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade, and a delegation from Nigeria, including the Minister of State for Petroleum and several other government officials.
The aim and purpose of this initiative is to promote trade between Africa and Lithuania, establish trade relationships, and encourage Africa's export and import, especially with Nigeria.
The participants of the forum and trade mission include importers, exporters, government policymakers and regulators, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Trade, Industries, and Investment, commissioners of trade, investment agencies, and companies interested in African opportunities, import and export agencies, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, Chambers of Commerce, Association of Agricultural Producers and Processors, SMEs, local governments, CEOs of oil and gas companies, mineral exploration, and mining agencies and companies from Europe.
The promoters, ABVIG and Imlitex Holdings, expect that several export and import trade deals will be signed, along with government-to-government agencies' memorandums of understanding on trade/bilateral relations, and the possible appointment of an Honorary Trade Ambassador.
